Though the demon's heart will always be born of evil, conflicts of interest will always result in chaotic formations of morality and judgement. Az'gul-ad, son of chaos, is a lesser demon whose existence can only be recognized when bound to a mortal soul. Indeed, only through summoning can he truly be conscious; thus, despite his age, only around half of his years have been spent truly aware and outside of the void. He relies on the deadly curiosity of mortal-kind to bring him into being, and when they pass, he will dissipate into nothingness and await the next. _________________________________________

The creature is sculpted of sharp bones and pallid flesh, grey and clay-like even beneath the afternoon sun. His features are sharp, forlorn -- mottled by indifference yet graced by the subtle presence of a rare and conceited smirk. Amidst a head of dark, wavy hair are the first signs of his inhumanity; ears, drawn into points beneath his locks. Hooded eyelids partly conceal deep pools of amber; eyes which bear host the fires from which he was born.

Beneath the elegant suit he chooses to don, Cedric's form is athletic and capable, though painted with faint scars. Memoirs of crueler masters and encounters take shape across his entire person, particularly concentrated around the lash marks scathing his back.

Cedric's demeanor is overtly placid and gentle, though ultimately cunning. When faced with a nervous or insecure master, his personality becomes manipulative, and often overbearing. He thrives on the desire of his summoner, and acts upon even the most subtle of whims. Over time, such things become more dire; from mere assistance with alchemy, to the murder of a neighbor his Master had disliked as a passing thought. The weak and uninitiated summoner often becomes overburdened by Cedric, finding themselves trapped when they find out that the only way to dispel their demonic familiar is to call him by his secretive true name.

The demon will aid its summoner in all ways, in exchange for existence, and the occasional offering of their blood, straight from the vein.

Familiarity. The binding contract between master and familiar is strong, and comes with the price of empathy between the both of them. Cedric is keenly attuned to the emotional desires of his master, and has a deep understanding of their pains and weaknesses.

Ethereal. Doors and walls have little weight over Cedric, who can only be bound by magic, or his master's own will.

Inferno. Cedric holds birthright over fire, and is able to manipulate it to his will.

Conduit. As a familiar, he is able to channel his master's magic and amplify it, reinforcing it with hellish cantrips as a means of assisting with spells and alchemy.

Physical contract. Cedric's physical form begins to dissipate as his master weakens, disappearing to the void entirely upon their death.

Holy objects. Religious icons of all forms will put Cedric on edge. Direct contact with them is often agonizing.

Bloodthirsty. Cedric relies on his master's blood to remain strong in himself.
